Getting Started
Requirements and initial setup.
P4G CEP was finalized on 19 April 2025.
The pack still works, but it will no longer receive updates or support. Information on these pages may be outdated.
See the Final Release FAQ for more information.
p4g.cep.one will go offline on 31 December 2027.
P4G CEP will still be available for download on GameBanana and Nexus Mods. A complete archive of this site is now included with the project.
Requirements
A registered installation of 64-bit Windows 11 or newer
P4G CEP is also available for the Steam Deck.
Open the p4g-cep-deck-docs.wacz file for installation instructions.
An unmodified installation of Persona 4 Golden from Steam
Only English text language is supported
Both English and Japanese voices are supported
At least 7 GB of free space on your hard drive
The following platforms are not supported:
Console releases of P4 or P4G
The Microsoft Store / PC Game Pass release of P4G
Mac or Linux desktop PCs
We do not provide support for pirated copies of the game.
Launch P4G
Before going any further, launch P4G on your PC through Steam.
Once you reach the title screen, quit the game.
This step serves two purposes:
If this is your first time launching P4G, it ensures the game runs OK on your PC.
If it has been a while since you last played P4G, launching the game will refresh your Denuvo DRM activation token. Playing with mods before obtaining an active Denuvo token can make the game refuse to launch.
Show File Extensions
By default, Windows Explorer hides the extensions of file types it recognizes (.EXE, .PNG, etc.).
It's important that these be visible when setting up mods or asking for support, so we will make sure Windows always shows file extensions for all file types.
Open a File Explorer window (it doesn't matter where).
Click the View button at the top of the window.
Click Show > File name extensions.

Open a File Explorer window (it doesn't matter where).
Click the View tab at the top of the window.
Check the box labelled File name extensions if it is not checked already.

Upgrade from Older P4G CEP
If this is your first time using P4G CEP, skip this step.
If you are upgrading from an older version of P4G CEP, you will need to delete some legacy modding files to make way for the new ones.
Follow the instructions below based on what version of P4G CEP you were using before:
Follow the instructions in Upgrade P4G CEP to get the latest v13 mods.
Delete Old Reloaded II + Setup Folders
Open your old P4G Mods folder.
Delete the .Reloaded II folder and Setup folder inside.

Aemulus Package Manager is no longer used for modding P4G on PC - we now use a new mod loader called Persona Essentials that works with all of the PC Persona games directly through Reloaded II.
Keep your Aemulus folder if you are still using it to mod Persona 5 Strikers or one of the console/emulated Persona games; otherwise, you can delete it.
Moving On
On the next page, make sure to choose the following tab:
